Ways of perfection
• “At Yuppies, we know that the shoes you purchase can be expensive and therefore keeping your shoes in top condition is worth a little extra effort. The tips below are ways to help you look after and even extend the natural life of your shoes.”
Leather
Dirt and other debris can easily embed into leather. Therefore, your leather shoes or boots need to be cleaned before you start polishing. Yuppies Shoe Brushes and Wipes can easily be used to remove excess dirt and debris.
• To polish your shoes effectively, always remove the shoelaces from your shoe before you start polishing your shoes. This is the best way to get to clean the tongue of the shoe and avoid staining the laces.
• For best results using shoe polishes or creams, first apply the shoe polish or cream evenly to leather shoes and boots with a brush or soft cloth. Once the polish has properly dried, simply buff to a brilliant shine using a natural bristle brush. Note that it is important to use a separate brush and cloth for applying and buffing different colored shoes.
• If you prefer a more convenient alternative, there instant shine liquids. Simply remove excess dirt and apply the liquid evenly to your shoes. The formulation restores color and dries to an instant shine – without the need to buff.
• Use Yuppies Protector products to help waterproof your shoes thoroughly to protect them from common stains caused by water, mud, dust, snow or salt.
• Store leather shoes using a shoe tree, this will help retain the shape of the leather. If you can’t use a shoe tree (e.g. for strappy shoes), stuff the toe cap with newspaper or tissue. Never store or dry leather shoes near direct heat.

Advantages of Yuppies Packing
The polish paste will be filled into a thick plastic container. Then a layer of aluminium foil will be sealed on top of the container. This is to prevent leaking of the polish under warm temperature during transportation and ensure that no solvent is being evaporated before it reaches customer’s hand.
Moreover, a layer of aluminium paperboard is placed beneath the cover to further maintain the solvents and waxes ration after use.
The great advantages of packing the shoe polish inside the plastic container is because plastic is a poor heat conductor, therefore the shoe polish paste inside the plastic container will not melt even under the warm environment.
Beside this, our screw type plastic cover is a very easy to open and close and does not has a tiny hole in the middle of the cover. Thus, the solvent will not evaporate and the paste will not shrink after long storage.
What are the advantages of using LANOLIN?
Lanolin is a highly refined & purified natural emollient oil derived from Merino sheep’s wool. Sheep wool contain grease which is the source of a waxy substance that is known as Lanolin.
The waxy substance is removed from the wool by washing processes and then recovered by high speed centrifugal separators to give a product known as neutral wool grease which, after intensive refining and a series of other processes, yields the finished Lanolin or Wool Wax. (Other names of Lanolin are Wool Fat and Wool Wax)
Lanolin is a very popular for cosmetics and ointments. It contains complex organic (natural) substances which are easily absorbed by the skin. Lanolin, the natural protective oil of wool has been used in our shoe polish paste formulation as leather nourishing ingredient to soften and extend its life span.
Hints To Obtain High Gloss
The following factors and conditions may affect the gloss giving properties of the polish.
• The amount of polish to be applied : Apply the shoe polish to the shoe, in an even coat, make sure that it covers the whole shoe including any crevices. Not to apply too thick or too thin of the coat.
• Waiting time for the polish to dry : After the polish is applied, set the shoes aside to allow the polish to soak into the shoes and dry. This process should take approximately 10 – 15 minutes. If the waiting time is too short, the polish will be removed during buffing. But if waiting time is too long, the shoe will be hard to puff up.
• Once the allotted time has passed, polish the shoes with the yuppies shoe brush. To polish a shoe, place your hand in the shoe and swiftly brush the shoe back and forth using quick, yet firm, strokes. You will notice upper changes from dull to shiny.
